"Meeting with Kara was the highlight of my week. Her spiritual wisdom and strength was inspiring and I left every conversation encouraged and closer to the Lord than I was before. She is kind and compassionate but speaks truth with a strong conviction. I felt free to talk about anything that I needed to with her without fear of being judged. Because of her extensive knowledge of both scripture and psychology, she was able to counsel and encourage me in my faith and offer practical and proven guidance to the problems I was facing. "

Hello
I'm Kara Leslie, an ordained Episcopal Priest, certified Spiritual Director, and a Board Certified Chaplain. I have a Master’s in Divinity from Candler School of Theology, Emory University, and a Master’s in Education Psychology from Texas Tech University.
I provide spiritual counseling to people searching for light, love, and life. Our wounds and life situations can feel like they are overtaking our existence. We will explore the different areas together, and I will help you work through them. My experience in grief, trauma, and life happiness, working with children, families and senior adults within a spiritual concept of counseling, makes what I offer unique and soul fulfilling.
I provide a safe and sacred space to share what is keeping you from living your life fully in God’s grace. I listen intently and gently to guide you through the deepest wounds. These difficult issues are much easier when you have someone experienced and knowledgeable to help you. I can help you set your spirit free in God’s grace as you become the best grace-filled you.

“Life is difficult” is the first line in the book titled The Road Less Traveled by Scott Peck.
Yes, life is difficult and sometimes seems unfair. What do we do with the pain and hurt of life when it feels hopeless? I offer a sacred space to process your feelings and help you find hope again. The hope is there, I promise, but it can be hidden behind all the pain in your life. Together we can discover the hope stronger and brighter than ever before.
I have worked with adults, children, and families as they search for a more peaceful and joyful life. I have extensive experience in working with emotions when someone important to you dies.

What makes me different?
My approach to counseling is from a spiritual concept. My combination of personal life experience and education back-ground make me uniquely qualified. I believe our souls need to not only find out what grace is, but feel the blessing it offers, so we can live fully into the gift of grace. I have worked with many in my practice, so I have the skill, presence, and experience of healing a broken spirit. This can and does come from our brokenness when we are speaking truthfully about it to a spiritual and professional counselor.
I can offer you a sacred space to find the light, love and life you have been longing for. I have expertise in working with women of all ages at various stages of grief. Sadness over their current life circumstances, grief over the loss of a loved one, dreams that have gone unfulfilled, and how we cope with various stages and transitions of our lives. Working together you will feel God’s love in a deeper and richer way.

"I was at a hopeless point in my life when I met Kara through a friend. When I walked into her office I was very nervous, anxious and depressed. Kara was immediately very empathetic and supportive. She helped me understand my emotions. It was really important to talk to someone who did not judge me. Now, I feel more confident, stronger and I love myself. I am grateful that God placed her in my life."
